What it does
A day here is exactly 24 hours; months and calendar years are excluded because their lengths vary.
Worked example
90 minutes = 1.5 hours.
The example demonstrates the operation. For file-based tools, results depend on the selected file and options. How the result is produced
A day here is exactly 24 hours; months and calendar years are excluded because their lengths vary.
Important limits
Values use double-precision arithmetic and are rounded to 13 significant digits. Named definitions matter; choose the intended unit.
Choosing the next step
Confirm whether a value is decimal or binary before converting it. In particular, storage units such as GB and GiB are not interchangeable, and fuel economy can be expressed as either distance per volume or volume per distance. The unit labels are part of the answer.
