What it does
Replaces every case-sensitive literal match. No regular expressions are executed.
Worked example
Find cat; replace with dog: catnap → dognap.
The example demonstrates the operation. For file-based tools, results depend on the selected file and options. How the result is produced
Replaces every case-sensitive literal match. No regular expressions are executed.
Important limits
An empty search leaves text unchanged. Replacement characters are treated literally. Output is limited to 1,000,000 characters.
Choosing the next step
Pick the narrowest operation that matches the problem. A line tool preserves line boundaries, while a text-wide transform may change punctuation or spacing. For sensitive text, use the browser-local workflow and avoid putting the input into a share URL.
