What it does
Changes the visible crop box of every page using top, right, bottom and left margins in points.
Worked example
Use 36-point margins to hide half an inch from every edge.
The example demonstrates the operation. For file-based tools, results depend on the selected file and options. How the result is produced
Changes the visible crop box of every page using top, right, bottom and left margins in points.
Important limits
Local processing. Maximum 50 MB per input, 100 MB total, 20 files and 2,000 total pages. Encrypted or malformed PDFs are rejected. Cropping changes the visible page area but does not securely remove hidden content outside it. Different source page sizes receive the same point margins.
Choosing the next step
Start with the least destructive operation that solves the job. Page organization preserves more of the source than raster compression; compression is useful for scans but can remove selectable text; flattened redaction removes the original object layer but requires you to mark every sensitive area yourself.
