What it does
Adds translucent diagonal text to every page of a new PDF copy.
Worked example
Mark every page of a review copy with DRAFT or CONFIDENTIAL.
The example demonstrates the operation. For file-based tools, results depend on the selected file and options. How the result is produced
Adds translucent diagonal text to every page of a new PDF copy.
Important limits
Local processing. Maximum 50 MB per input, 100 MB total, 20 files and 2,000 total pages. Encrypted or malformed PDFs are rejected. A watermark is visible decoration, not secure redaction, access control or a digital signature. Built-in font text supports basic Latin and Western European characters.
Choosing the next step
Start with the least destructive operation that solves the job. Page organization preserves more of the source than raster compression; compression is useful for scans but can remove selectable text; flattened redaction removes the original object layer but requires you to mark every sensitive area yourself.
