How Batch Image Studio works

Resize, compress and convert an image collection in one local pass. Compare each result and download a ZIP.

Try an example

For portfolio images, choose Web images: fit within 1600 pixels on the longest edge, preserve proportions and export WebP at quality 80. A 2400 × 1600 input becomes 1600 × 1067; an 800 × 600 input is not enlarged.

Good to know

Up to 50 images, 150 MB total input and 150 MB total output. Processing runs sequentially in a background worker with cancellation. Saved presets contain settings only. The batch stays in tab memory when switching tools; refreshing or closing the tab discards it. Download first. Browser encoding can increase file size. JPG, PNG, WebP and browser-decodable AVIF inputs (named converters require their stated source format); 25 MB and 24 megapixels maximum. Output is a single still frame; animation, source colour profiles and metadata are not preserved.

Your privacy

Processing happens on this device for this tool. We do not upload your input, put it in share links or save it to your favourites. Closing this tab discards the working input; downloaded results remain wherever you save them.

When this tool is useful

Prepare a whole set of product shots, portfolio images or photos for sharing with one consistent export recipe. Resize and encode in the same pass instead of exporting twice.

How to use it

  1. Add images, paste files or bring images from your local workspace into the queue.
  2. Choose a preset or set the format, longest edge and quality. Dimensions are fitted proportionally without enlarging smaller images.
  3. Process the queue. Select Preview for each result to compare edges, small text and transparency against the original.
  4. Download completed images together as a ZIP, or individually. Continue with a selected result in the image editor when it needs a crop.
  5. Save recurring settings as a named local preset. Resume the batch from Workspace while switching tools. Only presets persist after refresh; download results before refreshing or closing the tab.

Checks before you rely on the result

  • JPG replaces transparency with white. PNG is lossless for decoded pixels but can greatly increase photo file sizes. WebP quality is lossy.
  • All formats are re-encoded. Source EXIF, colour profiles and animation are not retained; visible information in pixels remains.
  • The queue allows 50 images, 25 MB each and 150 MB total input. Decoded images are limited to 24 megapixels and 16,384 pixels per side. Total retained outputs are limited to 150 MB.
  • A failed image does not discard completed results. Cancel terminates the active worker; process remaining images to resume. ZIP files contain completed results only.
  • Output sizes are measured after processing. Compression is never guaranteed, and the interface reports increases as well as reductions.

This page is maintained with the tool implementation and its deterministic tests. If the result looks wrong, report the issue with a non-sensitive example.
